TURNING TOOLS
Turning Holders
ISO external turning toolholders for turning, facing, profiling and general lathe machining.
Select the holder by clamping system, insert shape, tool hand, approach angle and shank size. Match the toolholder to the selected ISO insert and machining conditions before finalising the setup.
Choose by Clamping System
The clamping system affects insert retention, accessibility, rigidity and suitability for different turning conditions.
S-type Clamping
(5)Compact screw-down clamping system commonly used for general turning and applications where simple, secure insert retention is preferred.

D-type Clamping
(7)Secure clamping system for general external turning, facing and more demanding machining where reliable insert retention is important.

P-type Clamping
(5)Rigid top-clamp arrangement suited to stable general turning and heavier cutting applications where strong insert support is required.

The holder must match both the insert and the machine setup.
Confirm compatibility with the selected CNMG, DNMG, TNMG, VNMG, WNMG, SNMG or other ISO insert shape.
Match the holder to positive or negative insert geometry.
Select right-hand, left-hand or neutral configuration according to feed direction and machine setup.
Consider component geometry, shoulder access, cutting force direction and facing requirement.
Match holder shank size to the machine tool post or turret capacity.
Confirm whether the holder will be used for turning, facing, profiling or a combination of operations.
Check the complete holder and insert combination.
If you are replacing an existing holder, send us the holder designation, insert code or a clear photo of the current setup.
